A top priority when buying a sleeping bag is warmth. You never want to spend a night freezing your backside off because you got the wrong sleeping bag.
Sleeping bags are rated by season. A standard Three-season sleeping bags is ideal for your first sleeping bag and will keep you warm in temperatures as low as -9°C (assuming you are wearing thermals and have a sleeping mat). Winter sleeping bags are built to cope with much colder conditions, Summer or 1-2 season Sleeping bags are ideal for summer and festival camping.
Ideally you want your sleeping bag to fit relatively close to your body. The less room in the sleeping bag, the faster you will warm up and stay warm. We sell Children’s sleeping bags but you can just as easily reduce the size of the bag with a shoelace for kids or Shorter people like me!
